ATP and the Woodfish InstituteThe Woodfish Institute is an allied organization that has been collaborating with ATP for the past few years. Leslie Gray, Ph.D., the executive director of the Woodfish Institute, is also on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Transpersonal Institute, the chartered 501(c)3 organization of which ATP is a division. The mission of the Woodfish Institute is to provide education and services to the general public for the purpose of bridging core indigenous ways of knowing and transindigenous healing methodologies with modern multidisciplinary approaches to human problem-solving, mind-body healing, and ecopsychology. |
The Woodfish PrizeThe Woodfish Prize is a joint award of one thousand dollars to two people, one indigenous North American (Native American or First Nation) and the other Euroamerican (European North American), for co-creating a transpersonal social action project that is mutually transforming. A one page (or 500 word maximum) description (typed, 3 hardcopies) of an existing or proposed project must be submitted to the Association for Transpersonal Psychology by July 15 of the calendar year. The prize is announced September 15 of the same year, but is only awarded in years when there is a submisson which fully meets the criteria in the description.
